BLACK LITERATURE AND ART QUEENS NETWORK

We Bring Queens to the Stage

Our Mission is to acknowledge the achievements of African-American WomXn stage performers, and to promote diversity in the talented realm of Michigan Performing Arts.

Our belief is that all black womXn stage performers deserve being honored for selflessly helping others while achieving their passion. We also believe that Michigan stages should be as diverse as the state itself.

Our Goal is to continue this acknowledgement for years to come and to encourage young African-American ladies to be involved more in performing arts and in their communities.

SISTA STRUT 2019

Sista Strut 2019-Detroit

Black Literature & Art Queens Network is participating in the Annual Sista Strut on October 19, 2019

"Sista Strut aims to heighten awareness about the issues of breast cancer in African American Women, as well as provide information on community resources. Studies show that African American women are more likely to get breast cancer at a younger age and have a death rate from breast cancer higher than Caucasian women of the same age. Sista Strut recognizes the strength of survivors, their family, and friends, heightens awareness, promotes early detection and the search for a cure."- 92.3fm.com

We're accepting any donation amount, but we would love to assemble a team. To be part of the team is a $20 registration fee. So help us out by honoring and acknowledging those whom we lost to cancer and those still fighting the good fight!
